THE FAIR

The K 2022 Fair, which this year celebrates the 70th anniversary of the first edition in 1952, has become the premiere international event in the global plastics and rubber industry. Ever since its first edition, the setting has been the German city of Düsseldorf. With over 3,000 exhibitors (a big jump from 270 in 1952) from more than 60 countries and the presence of over 96% of the world’s leading brands in the sector, the K Fair is no longer just an exhibition event, but a true platform for business; a place in which to extend your network, forge new partnerships and strike international business deals.

WHERE AND WHO

From 19 to 26 October, Frilvam is pleased to welcome you to its stand A11 in Hall 7 of Messe Düsseldorf, an exhibition center that is an integral part of the history of the city and which, today – thanks to its 306,000 m² of exhibition space and over 900 employees – is one of the world’s top 10 trade fair organizers in terms of turnover. The best way to get there from Italy is by plane. Indeed, the airport is the third largest in Germany and offers various connections to Milan and Rome. Once there, an excellent train service connects the airport to the city, which is only about 15 kilometres away. Alternatively, you can also decide to get there by car: Milan is about 800 kilometres from Düsseldorf.

THINGS TO SEE AND TO KNOW

The 2022 edition of the K Fair revolves around three main topics: the circular economy, digitization and climate protection. Emerging from such a melting pot of ideas and solutions offered by the current gamechangers in the sector requires considerable effort, but at the same time represents strong motivation for a company such as Frilvam. Consequently, the company intends to offer its visitors an all-round experience, thanks to a stand designed with attention to the smallest details that aims to highlight the three cornerstones on which Frilvam bases its growth: sustainable development, product innovation and building solid partnerships with its customers thanks to its Regulatory Affair Dept.

ONE MORE THING…

Capital of the Land of North Rhine-Westphalia, Düsseldorf is one of the most vibrant (and richest) economic and cultural cities in Germany. This translates into an environment with an international flavor, while, at the same time, offering enormous conviviality and hospitality on the part of its inhabitants. The flagship sectors of the city include the cultural industries of fashion and art.

Brewery im Füchschen
Ratinger Str. 28, 40213 Düsseldorf
A place in which to experience the authentic atmosphere of a traditional German brewery. At the counter or at the tables of the “Little Fox”, you can try the delicacies of the local cuisine (the roast pork knuckle is a must), while sipping an Altbier, a type of beer produced in Düsseldorf.

Hotel Orangerie
Bäckergasse 1, 40213 Düsseldorf
Housed in a neoclassical mansion, the hotel is located in the Altstadt, the old town of Düsseldorf, a position that allows you to walk to some of the city’s major attractions, such as the promenade along the Rhine, the Königsallee (the main shopping street), the Opera and the main theaters and museums. Messe Düsseldorf is about 5 km away and you can get there by taxi or via the city’s public transport service, which takes about 30 minutes.

Kunst im Tunnel
Mannesmannufer 1b, 40213 Düsseldorf
Located directly below the Rhine promenade, in a space nestled between two large road tunnels, KIT – Kunst im Tunnel is a spectacular meeting place and focal point for contemporary art. Lots of young artists, some of whom hail from the local art academy, exhibit their works in this space. The main aim of the museum’s management is to introduce emerging contemporary art through a wide range of genres, such as sculpture, painting, photography, videos and installations
